Information for volunteers

For 2008, student colleges and companies may help with travel expenses and support.

Students can join Winterton Seal Hospital as hands on aid workers; we provide free accommodation, food, bedding and wet weather gear.

If you are from outside the EEC, you will require for your visa application, a signed letter by our office for entry to the UK to work at the Seal Hospital.

Working Terms: 3 months minimum with the harbour seal pups June to September.

Grey seal pups December 2008 to February 2009, you can combine if accepted to volunteer for 6 months or longer. Book early as limited space available, if working in December you will be expected to work Christmas day and other bank holidays.

All applications to include a CV and must have your full postal address, telephone number and a counter signature by a guarantor.

The work evolves:- Rescuing seals from beaches, winter patrols of baby grey seals born around the Christmas period, feeding, cleaning, nursing, medication, veterinary care, rehabilitation, and the chance to be included in the release back to the wild. (Party day)

Applicants must be over 19 years of age; e-mails will not be accepted if incomplete.

You must be Dedicated and Hard working, it may even change your way of life.
