TARA
Tara was rescued on 23rd December 2001. She was found at Eccles beach only 10 days old, and weighing only 19 lbs, with identification colour marks on her white coat which indicated that she had been swept down from the Isle of May in Scotland (280 miles more or less).
During this baby grey seals’ exhausting journey, she received a damaged mouth and cuts on her flipper.
She was lucky to be alive but with lots of nursing and feeding, Tara is now eating on her own and demanding fish at all times by calling in a loud voice to all the staff.
