Robie, a grey seal pup, was found on Sea Palling beach on 17th March 2008 in a force 7 gale, he was wounded on his left flipper and breathing poorly, we suspected lungworm as he was also coughing. Robie also had poor eyesight, which after medication for several days, has improved and is now ok, he is catching his own fish. We had over 13 calls from the public worried about seals in the 2 hours before we got the distress call about Robie, we urgently need more volunteer rescuers. |
