| A 2 weeks old grey seal baby was washed up by rough sea from Farne Isle, over 200 miles away, weighing only 24 lbs, thin and exhausted. He was found by a holiday maker curled up at the foot of a high cliff at Cromer. Mike, one of our seal rescuers, picked up the baby seal now named Dougie, brought to Winterton Seal Hospital on 24th November 2008, and given medication and fed with special milk (which has the texture of a milkshake and is the closest we can get to its mother's milk) by tube immediately, fell asleep for 24 hours. |
