Marie, a common (harbour) seal pup, was rescued by Jill, one of our volunteers, from Caister on 24th August 2008. She was only 3 - 4 weeks and still had her baby fur, she weighed 35lbs. Marie had an ulcerated mouth, eyes gummed up and breathing in gasps, she was exhausted afer being pushed back into the sea several times. Fed by tube with liquidised fish on arrival and treatment using a mouth spray, she has improved and takes fish from the hand.

Waxy, a common (harbour) seal pup, was 3 - 4 weeks old when he was rescued on 11th September 2008 by one of our volunteers, Emma, from Waxham in Norfolk. He had a mouth injury and also bleeding to his rear flippers and claws; after medication, these have improved but Waxy can only swallow small fish at each meal and is fed by hand.

Skip, a common (harbour) seal pup, was found by Mr Morris of Bacton with internal mouth cuts and rear flipper bites or cuts. Skip was exhausted but was soon picked up from beach by the seal rescue team on 24th August 2008, Skip's weight on arrival at the hospital was 35lbs, now being fed small herring by hand.
