Winterton Seal Hospital (Save Our Seals)

Misty - photo was taken by Jill JacobsMisty, a harbour/common seal pup, was rescued by Sue and Andy from the foreshore at Ostend, near Happisburgh, on 31st August 2008. He was found to have a hole through the roof of his mouth, probably caused by pollution, and ulcers. He will be in the hospital for some time, for a daily medication spray into his mouth. Misty's weight when rescued was 30lbs, his approximate age was four weeks old. Recently Misty has been able to swallow fish during hand feeding.
MistyUpdate: 5th October 2008 - These photos of Misty were taken on 4th October 2008 in our new hospital pens.

The new pens in our largest barn were built over the summer months by volunteers.
