Winterton Seal Hospital (Save Our Seals)

Luck'ee was rescued on 1st March 2009

Luck'ee, a grey seal pup, weighed 38lbs when she was rescued aged approximate 6 - 8 weeks old from a beach at Caister on 1st March 2009. Luck'ee had an injury on her rear left flipper and a swollen claw pad.

She was found by a young girl and her mum (photo right) near the lifeboat shed. A rescue team of Mark and Kevin quickly picked up Luck'ee with their 4x4 within 15 minutes, as they were only 4 miles away, and took her to the hospital.

On arrival at the hospital, Luckee's temperature was 37.8, she was given medication and lectadel salt fluid. Luck'ee refused to eat until 6th March 2009, but now she is on 10 fish a day and has started to take fish in water.
