Winterton Seal
Hospital (Save Our Seals) Jill-Anne was rescued on 11th August 2009 |
![]() | Jill-Anne, a harbour/common seal pup, was rescued by Naomi, one of our seal rescue volunteers, and her friend on 11th August 2009 following a 999 call. She was found by a fishing boat called the "Jill-Anne" at Dunich harbour, Jill-Anne had been covered in nets to keep her away from the sun by fisherman until she was rescued.
Naomi said as it was her dad's birthday that day she would name the pup Dennis, but upon arrival at the seal hospital, the pup was assessed and found to be a girl so renamed Jill-Anne. Jill-Anne was found to have an ulcerated mouth, and was approximately 7 - 10 days old with a temperature of 38.9° and weighed 26lbs. |
