Jackie, a grey seal pup, was rescued by the coastgaurd at Winterton on the 9th January 2010. She was 3 weeks old, found freezing in gale force winds. She had damage to her mouth and her rear flipper. She was exausted and had no mother with her. She was brought here to Winterton Seal hospital and given medication and fed milk. She slept for 24 hours. She weighed 35lb and her temperature was 35.2. She is now swimming in her own pool and catching fish. On the 1st March 2010 she weighed 45lb.
