| Dougie was rescued on 24th November 2008 A 2 weeks old grey seal baby was washed up by rough rough sea from Farne Isle, over 200 miles, weighing only 24 lbs, thin and exhausted. He was found by holiday maker curled up at the foot of a high cliff at Cromer on 24th November 2008. Mike, one of our seal rescuers, picked up the baby seal now named Dougie, brought to Winterton Seal Hospital, and given medication and fed with special milk (which has the texture of a milkshake and is the closest we can get to its mother's milk) by tube immediately, fell asleep for 24 hours. |
| Update: August 2009 - Dougie along with Luck'ee and Skip were returned to the wild on 20th August 2009. Click here to see a selection of photos. |
