| Charlie: Lost Seal, Lost Girl |
| Three to four week old harbour (common) seal pup was separated from Winterton Ness Seal Colony by a crowd of visitors with dogs. It was chased and forced into the sea. Seen two days later, completely exhausted, by a visitor called Sue whilst she was jogging along the beach. Sue made the emergency call to the seal hospital and said she was lost as well! The rescue team Richard and Cheryl, with maps, found Somerton Holmes nearest to beach for rescuing Sue and baby seal, whom she named Charlie. Apart from a cut mouth, the seal was exhausted. Rehydration therapy and medication for wound given. He's OK. Temperature was 36.9 and weight 35 lbs. |
