Cade'y (Cadeor Kade)
Cade'y a 3 - 4 day old female grey seal pup, was rescued on 17th November 2010 from Winterton Ness as she had been abandoned by her mother. Upon arrival here at Winterton Seal Hospital, Cade'y had a temperature of 36.5° and found to weigh 32lbs. She was tube fed with a special milk (the cost of milk from the USA is £120 which is £40 a month to feed each seal pup). The special milk formula provides the young pups with all the nutrients they would normally get from their mother's milk. |
| Update: 10th December 2010 - Cade'y is still very small, but is doing well and has shed her white coat. |
