Barney, a rescued pup
SAVE OUR SEALS

BARNEY
We had an urgent call from the Coastguard about a sick stranded seal at Happisburgh. The incoming tide would have smashed him against the sea wall if we had could not picked him up, the nearest help was seal nurse Jenny - 3 miles away who rushed to the lifeboat slipway and with the help of two fishermen managed to grab hold of him as waves smashed on to the wall.
Jenny then quickly brought him into the Hospital where wounds on his flippers and chest, also a hole in the top of his mouth were dressed and medication given.
After two or three weeks of nursing Barneys improvement was so great that he has become a cheeky young devil up to all sorts of tricks.
